Product Details
Description
Tuff Country’s 97035 Block & U-Bolt Kit is a trusted, bolt-on solution designed to lift the rear of your GMC Suburban (and related Chevrolet/GMC 4WDs) by 3 inches. It’s built to restore a balanced stance and improved ground clearance while preserving a comfortable, factory-like ride.
- Lift Height: 3" rear lift to level or enhance rear stance for towing, hauling, or larger tires
- Block Design: tapered lift blocks engineered to minimize driveline vibrations and maintain alignment
- Block Material: heavy-duty cast blocks (block material may vary; some kits use aluminum blocks depending on production)
- U-Bolts: extended, zinc-plated rear u-bolts specifically sized for GMC Suburban applications
- Hardware Included: nuts and washers included for secure, straightforward installation
- Shocks Note: in many applications, factory-length shocks may need to be replaced with extended-length shocks when using 3" blocks (see the Shock Absorbers section for details)
- Installation Scope: rear-axle only; not intended for front axle use
- Vehicle Fitment: designed for 1988–1998 GMC and Chevy 4WD trucks and SUVs (Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, K-series K1500/K2500/K3500) with 1/2–1 ton configurations
This kit includes everything you need for a simple bolt-on installation: tapered rear lift blocks, zinc-plated u-bolts, and the necessary hardware. It’s crafted by Tuff Country, a brand known for rugged, reliable suspension solutions that keep pace with demanding daily use and weekend adventures alike.
